The role of IoT: Unlocking new opportunities for growth and success
The Internet of Things (IoT) has the potential to bring significant health benefits to multi-disciplined roles in higher education by improving various processes and enhancing the overall student experience.
Monitor and manage various aspects of a campus, such as energy consumption, building maintenance, and security. This can help to improve efficiency, advance sustainable impact, and reduce costs.
Healthy Spaces: Keeping track of factors like air quality, CO2 levels, and room conditions (temperature, humidity, lighting, etc.), contributing to creating a healthier and more conducive learning environment.
Enhance student experience, IoT can be used to provide real-time information and services to students, such as class schedules, resource availability, and access to campus facilities. This can help to improve the student experience and make it easier for students to access resources.
Improves teaching and learning by supporting interactive and immersive teaching and learning experiences, such as using virtual and augmented reality.
Support research by enabling the collection and analysis of enormous amounts of data from a variety of sources. This can help to accelerate the pace of research and support new discoveries.
Automates manual and administrative tasks and makes supervision easier with tools like system flags or controls to keep students interested.
However, the adoption of IoT in higher education also comes with its own set of challenges, partnership with Qolcom and HPE Aruba Networking mitigates against these challenges and increases student experience.
